Overwhelmed With Thoughts

Image
https://www.happify.com/hd/5-things- you-can-do-if-feeling-overwhelmed/             I have had many ideas – some which I have jotted down but no complete thought.   It doesn’t seem to be a priority.   Whatever Roland is doing takes priority over anything that Jenna and I may have planned.   Right now it’s the back room – which is important.   But I also believe know that he needs to take breaks.              He’s taken Jenna to Roseburg a few times which has given me opportunity to blog and either a nap takes priority or else I just haven’t been motivated to write.   He gave me the assignment to paint the trim while they’re gone, but I can’t find a paintbrush.   Nor do I wish to spend my time looking for one the entire time they are gone.   I did put up some masking tape around the door trim – at least I put in some effort, right?   They are goi...

A Chocolate Birthday

Image
Tossing and turning because I was hot.   It isn’t right for the weather to be so warm on my birthday – especially when you consider the start of the month was always overcast – sometimes raining.               The wind has been blowing – even though it’s been warm.   The winds have been cool – but not cool enough to keep us from turning on the A/C.             I finally left the room at 3:45.   Jenna said “Happy Birthday, mommy!”   quite loudly.   I’d forgotten it was my birthday – even though I had been reminded of it last night when I called the RS pres.  My stomach was growling.   I had a glazed doughnut as Roland had brought them home and we have to eat them before they go stale – right? Jenna bopped into the living room about 15 minutes later bearing gifts wrapped in Christmas paper.  I ...

The Drive To and Return

Image
As mentioned in this post ,   I thought Highway 140 was quite beautiful at some parts and quite scary at others.   The idea of a 50 foot drop and no guard rails is rather creepy.   But that is the way Roland wanted to go - and he was driving.                 I thought 140 seemed scarier driving north than it did driving south - which is ironic, as the drop is on the south/west side.   The drive didn't seem quite as long, either.   But Denise and I had taken I5 through Medford because she wanted to see the temple.   I just   had Roland go by way of Highway 138 to Highway 97 where you can choose to go north up through Bend and over through Boise, or you can drive down south to Lake View and Winnemucca.                   The Nevada route ...

ReMax and the Children's Miracle Network

Image
On Saturday I went with Roland and Jenna to the big city of Roseburg as Roland wanted to get some more soil and plants to add to our yard and garden.     Jenna at Home Depot             As we were near Costco, I mentioned to Roland that we ought to get gas.   We also need milk and so picked up some additional items as well.   We also had an opportunity to allow Jenna a thrilling moment that we of course would never have planned for.             As we were walking toward the Costco entrance, Roland noticed a ReMax balloon out in the parking lot.   It appeared as though it was lifting off the ground and then back again.   Corey and I had actually saved our money for a balloon ride and were majorly disappointed with the results. ...
