Personality on Hold

I have posted only two of six thoughts on the personality quiz that I took.  Thus I have four to go but will wait before posting the next as today is Jai ’ s birthday.  We had her spring break.  It was good to have her home.  We played a few games with one another.  Sadly not with the entire family as our house is in disarray and has been for the entire year due to water damage and contractor delays (which really is another post within itself) and thus lack of room.  Jaime had actually had to resort to sleeping in a bed rather than on the floor which she seems to prefer. No floor space in the room that started out as the office but houses Ally ’ s possessions.   Jaime will need her own room come summer and it doesn ’ t appear that the others will be leaving anytime soon. Jaime spent her last weekend with some friends at a lake house near Reedsport.   She did not return until after three.   Richard ...

What Happened?

I had thoughts that didn ’ t get posted or even written to transfer into   Today is Steven ’ s birthday Jaime ’ s is on the 3 rd . Currently she is at home but will have to return before her birthday as that is when school starts again   Richard purchased some bedsheets for Jaime and I made the bed that Ally never sleeps in.   I thought Ally might get excited about the d é cor on the bed and so marked it with a happy birthday sign so that she would know it was for Jaime.   Ally has been sick ever since I don ’ t think she has even been in the room since before Jaime arrived. Poor kid.   Doesn ’ t have a typical childhood. That ’ s for sure.

What is Happening (or Has Happened)

Yesterday my eldest great nephew had his first shot of chemo.   He is five. Today my only grandson (so far) turns one Yesterday the book we sent was delivered but the family says they are waiting for today to open it. Yesterday Roland turned 66 Our plans for Tomorrow are to make jam out of the last two gallons of juice. It has been raining while we sleep I sleep heavy.   Roland does not sleep well.   He likes the heat on. I don’t. I don’t like being hot. He doesn’t like being cold. Often my hands and feet will get cold but the rest of me does not. Sometimes I think the elements often interfere with my ability to get Internet. That's frustrating but small in comparrison to many other things and situations.

April milestones

It’s been just a few years since I wrote this post – referring to the stages of life and changes that we hope will never come.   Yet we are tried.   We can’t control what things might happen – good or bad.   For my oldest son’s in-laws, June is a hard month.                       For Roland’s family it seems to be April that seasons the time line.   His mom turned 92 yesterday.   Seven years ago we’d gone to Tucson to celebrate her birthday ( here ).   Nine days later, Roland’s eldest sister passed.   Today we learned that another sister died this morning.   Facebook reminders of two of my boys who married their wives in April.         Missionary papers and homecomings in April.  Jenna was also born in April.   This is my first recorded timeline.

A Month For Celebration

On the first week of March, many public libraries sponsor children's programs and have birthday parties in honor of Dr. Seuss.  My eldest granddaughter celebrates her birthday the date after Dr. Seuss celebrates his.             Stakes and wards from around the world will celebrate the anniversary of the Relief Society organization.  Some have birthday parties complete with food and programs, others offer workshops and uplifting instruction.              St. Patrick's Day is celebrated in honor St. Patrick, as a holy day of obligation,  and a celebration of Ireland itself.                   ...
