Good-bye Family, Hello Back Room

            As I had mentioned in prior posts we had wanted to redo our flooring and add a back room to the house.   Roland had taken time off work the last week of April as we believed that when the floors would be done.   That was the initial plan.   However the product we ordered had to be shipped – which added nearly another month before the floors were started. Unfortunately it hasn’t been finished.   I don’t know if the error was with shipping product or inaccurate measuring so the correct amount of product had not been ordered to begin with or what exactly happened.   But we are still waiting for flooring.   The kitchen isn’t finished and the bathrooms have not been started.   The bathrooms were what I had been concerned about the most – particularly the master bathroom which I know has water damage. Home and Health #4:  "In  childhood, did you share a bedroom with siblings or have a room to yourself?"             I believe it was in 1961 when my parents purchased the three bedroom house in Midvale.   I joined them a year later and had my own room.   I'm certain that I must have started my life in our new house in my parents' bedroom sleeping in a white bassinet.   I don't know how old I was when I was given my own room or why I ended up where I did.   My room was the furthest from mom and dad's room.   I think they put me in there as I was a light sleeper and heard every sound.   That is the first room I remember being mine.           I don't know how old I was when I requested that my room be painted pink, but I remember I had to take down my posters.   I had three of girls with big eyes.   I don't even remember what each was do...

No Room For Jenna

            Have you ever felt inconvenienced by a situation, but later on down the road, you realize that inconvenience was/is a blessing?   It’s even more awesome when you can recognize the blessings in the process of being inconvenienced.   I can see the blessings;   Jenna sees the inconveniences that become more inconvenient to her with each passing minute.             I noticed when I mopped the floor in the back room, there was a nasty splotch that wouldn't remove - a stain I hadn't noticed before (I'm actually not all that observant) nor had I noticed the floor had gotten softer.   I had just chalked that up my own aging and slowing down.   It seems like each time I did laundry, moisture would leak out between the walls and the floor.   Oh . . . . that is not good.              Roland contacted our insurance company to find...
