Fathers’ Day seemed to be a big deal in the
last ward that I had come from. Our
first Sunday in Myrtle Creek shortly happened to be Father’s Day. I don’t recall Father’s Day being
mentioned. The last couple of years the
primary children (and our number is dwindling – count of 7 today) have been
singing either Mothers’ Day or Fathers’ Day (depending on the month) in sacrament
meeting. Before it was in either RS or Priesthood. Neither one of them were incorporated into a
program. Today we heard the first Fathers’
Day I’ve heard given in this ward.
As we were on the way to Church Jai reminded
us of this comic routine. Very
appropriate. Tony called to wish Richard a happy
Happy Father's Day and Happy Juneteenth.
